I just bought me the Album of the "American Idol winner" Jordin Sparks who hit the charts wit "No Air" a duet with R&B Singer Chris Brown. Actually this Song and "Tattoo" made me buy this Album.
When I first heard "Tattoo"“ it reminded me of Mattafix's "Big City Life" & Eamon’s "Fuck it" little bit slower and implemented with a nice synth but . The subject of this song is dealing with the most common – Love. But in my opinion Jordin wrapped it with a nice metaphor. She says that every deserted partner is still a part of her life in everything she’s doin‘ "You’re still a part of everything i do You’re on my heart just like a tattoo". She aint regret that relationship she just live every second like it was her last one. Seize the Day! Sorry that always reminds me on Dead poets society ;-) … generally speaking – I like that Song
The 2nd one "One Step at a Time" sounds to me like a Ne-Yo joint – lemme google it if I’m ryt *hehe*.. hmm it’s said "The Underdogs" produced the Album.
Ok now to the Chart-Hit "No Air". I’m a fan of innovative sound selections anyway! And I like this interlude with a hard bassdrum combined with some classic 808 kicks and some nice piano sequences… to speak in general "again" – I like that Song
Hectic synthmelodies, thrilling tones and claps make "Shy Boy" an exceedingly strenuous matter. For a Lovesong too stressy and for the Dancefloor too lame. I think the target to do the Splits failed on this one. "Next to You" Starts like a classic Piano ballad but it turns into a good pop Song… the tom parts reminds me on ehmm damn i forgot … maybe you can tell me..
"Next to You" starts like a Rihanna song, rising up some tension but it stays a super average song honestly.
Oh I skipped "Freeze", StarGate produced a staight song here! Kinda Nelly Furtado touch on that one … hmm timbaland would have killed that!
